I’m pretty sure that gratitude is a key component to good health. But sometimes I forget this. I’ve been finding myself worrying lately. Worry, worry, worry. Yuck! And I know it isn’t healthy. Worrying doesn’t make the stuff go away, it just holds my attention there. Then I start finding more to worry about. Double yuck! I know this isn’t good for my health, especially when I find myself awake at 3am worrying! Rest is essential to good health. So today I’m going to focus on what I’m grateful for. I’m going to start with 5 things: 1. Apple Tech support! (I’ve been having trouble with my new computer, that’s why I haven’t been posting. Those tech support people are so smart, and SO patient. Thanks!) 2. Irish Breakfast tea. My daughter has the kettle on right now. I can’t wait for my first cup! 3. My Daughters! They are literally my reason for living. They are smart, fun, funny, interesting, brilliant, great companions, and because of them I keep trying to be a better person. I so admire them both, and love them to pieces! Thanks gals! You amaze me! 4. My warm, dry house. It’s an old farm house. Drafty. I burn a lot of fire wood. I mean, A LOT. I used to complain a lot about this house. It’s a lot of work. But I love it. It’s been good to us. Thanks old house! We’ve built a family here. 5. Friends visiting from Europe! My dear friends Jo & Steve are coming from England today to share the holiday. I can’t quite believe it. We haven’t been together for a couple of years. We always have a fantastic time together. I’m taking Tues, Wed, and Thurs off to be with them. Thanks for making the trip guys!! Can’t wait to be together.
So today I’m going to keep turning to what I’m grateful for. Each time a worry pops up, I’m going to find something to say thank you for.
I’m also pretty sure that there is power in numbers. The more I’m grateful for, the more I’ll SEE to be grateful for. The more of us opening our eyes to what’s good around us and in the world, the better for everyone. This is part of what the expansion of good health is about.
So please join me. Or maybe I’m joining you, who knows?! Would you share 5 things with me? Or 10? Or more? I’d love to hear your list of things you’re grateful for. Please keep it flowing! We’re expanding.
Have a wonderful day! And take really good care of yourself.
